Super Prices for Super Bowl Ads

Super Bowl XLIWith competition for consumers’ “eyeballs” intensifying, some advertisers are paying more than $2.6 million for a 30-second commercial in Super Bowl XLI. Accoridng to media reports, Even with these lofty prices, most of the commercial spots for the first half of the game are sold out.


Despite the fact that some spots may cost $2.6 million, the average rate for a 30-second commercial is likely to be lower, averaging between $2.2 million and $2.3 million according to some reports.  Even at these “reduced” average prices, advertisers should wonder if it’s really worth it.
